We are now offering an OBD2 reprogramming device which allows you to flash our custom programs into supported OBD2 GM ECUs without having to remove the ECU from vehicle to send to us. Read on to find out about how this system can work for you. Support has recently been added for E38/E37 ECMs and T42/T43 TCMs. We plan to offer E67/E40 and other CAN bus ECM support in the future.

• Requirements: Only requirement is laptop or desktop PC with Windows 98 or higher with a USB port. Not recommended on 64-bit Vista/w7. Package comes with installation CD and instructions.

• How it works: Read and write to any of the supported vehicles (see below). You email us the program file that you read out out of the ECU and saved to your laptop/PC. We email you the customized program built for your needs and you just flash it in, that's it. This is primarily for shops reselling our tunes to their own customers. It is convenient to make adjustments to a tune w/o having to send your ECU back each time. The supported vehicles list is always current. If your vehicle is not listed here, it is NOT currently supported by the device (although we can of course probably tune it in-house).

NOTE: This is NOT an editor (like HPTuners or EFIlive), it is a flasher only, you can't change any parameters yourself. We modify the program for your specs, you flash it into the ECM. The calibration format is encrypted and the software write capability is VIN locked (you can only program a calibration into a module with same VIN). This is to prevent recycling of one of our custom tunes into unlimited number of ECUs. We can, however, email you serial keys on case-by-case basis for you to change the VIN in an ECM, for $55 each, if you need this service. We can also provide a factory GM calibration for the given VIN free of charge (if say you replaced an ECM and need to program it for the correct VIN/application). So in addition to flashing our custom tunes, you can provide the same VIN factory reflash service using our system for a fraction of the cost of a Tech 2 and a TIS2WEB GM data subscription.

• Pricing: The cost of the kit is $485 + $15 priority mail shipping to USA. The cost of each ECU tuned is $125 (cam/heads/boosted applications may be slightly more). If there is an ECM/TCM pair and you wish to to tune them both, we can do that at a discount for $200.

*Strictly speaking: ECM = engine control module, PCM = powertrain control module (controls both engine and trans), TCM = transmission control module, ECU = electronic control unit / any of the above.
